Best All-Inclusive Holidays for Families of 5 (That Fit in One Room)
Finding an all-inclusive holiday for a family of five can feel frustrating.
Many families assume all-inclusive won’t work once there are three children involved, but that’s not actually true. With the right destination and hotel style, all-inclusive holidays can be one of the best value and least stressful options for larger families.
This guide will help you understand:
- Which destinations work best for families of 5
- What to look for in all-inclusive hotels
- How to avoid hidden costs and room supplements
Can a Family of 5 Do All-Inclusive?
Yes, you can… but not everywhere.
The key is choosing destinations where larger family rooms are common, hotels are designed with families in mind, and All-inclusive really means everything included.
This is why destination choice matters just as much as the hotel itself.
Best Destinations for All-Inclusive Holidays for Families of 5
Turkey – A Destination Leader For Larger Families
Turkey consistently offers the best all-inclusive value for families of five.
You will find family rooms sleeping five. This can be duplex or split-level rooms AND proper beds rather than sofa beds.
Why do families love it? Huge food choice, which is great for picky eaters. Excellent kids’ clubs and water parks, and spacious resorts designed for families.
Spain – Choose Resorts Carefully
Spain does offer all-inclusive options for families of five, but hotel choice is crucial.
Some of the best regions include Majorca, Costa Dorada, and the Canary Islands (especially family-focused resorts). Apartment-style resorts and family suites tend to work best here.
Greece – Best on Larger Islands
For families of five, stick to larger Greek islands such as Crete, Rhodes and Corfu.
These destinations offer more family suites and resorts that cater properly to bigger families.
What to Look for in an All-Inclusive Hotel for a Family of 5
Not all “family rooms” are created equal.
Prioritise hotels that offer clear room descriptions and layouts. Sometimes it can be confusing when all you can see is a picture of a double bed and the text that says “max 5 people”.
Try to find permanent beds for all family members, tiny sofa beds for a growing family, especially as the kids get bigger, isn’t comfortable. You are tripping over one another, and 2 weeks sleeping on a sofa bed isn’t ideal. You want the space to move without feeling cramped. Also, make sure there are multiple dining options included in the price.
Is All-Inclusive Good Value for Larger Families?
In many cases, yes. All inclusive is great for groups
For families of five, all-inclusive can reduce daily spending stress. Who wants to worry about how much a bottle of water costs, or how many snacks the kids are eating because they NEVER STOP EATING. Just my kids? No I’m certain that can’t be the case.
All-Inclusive makes budgeting easier. Once you’ve paid, you’ve paid. The only extras are if you do trips and excursions, or treat yourself to the spa, watersports etc. Your money is going towards more experiences, and therefore more memories.
I genuinely believe all-inclusive is a better option than half board when there are lots of you. Especially during school holidays, this can be a smart choice, because we all know the cost of the holiday is more to begin with when you travel during school holiday periods. Saying that, I do have access to great offers and free children’s places, so do send me a message so that I can help you out there.
